These systems and methods have further formed standards and gradually been recognized by more enterprises. Another international background of OHSMS is the integration of occupational safety and health standards driven by the trend of global economic integration.

As early as the late 1980s and early 1990s, in order to strengthen their social attention and control losses, some multinational corporations and large modern joint enterprises began to establish a self-discipline management system of occupational safety, health and environmental protection, and gradually formed a relatively perfect system. By the mid-1990s, in order to realize the social notarization of this management system, the principle of third-party certification was introduced.

OHSMS generally includes seven main parts: initial state review; Safety and health policy; plan; Implementation and operation; Inspection and improvement measures; Review and periodic review summary. The core content is the five elements of policy, plan, implementation, improvement and audit and the cycle of continuous improvement.

In general, the operation of OHSMS starts from the initial state review to the review summary, and then completes a cycle; The initial state review of the second cycle determines a new starting point higher than that of the first cycle; The starting line of the third cycle is higher than that of the second cycle, which is improved step by step and continuously improved. OHSMS is a subsystem of the overall management system of the enterprise, and its cycle is also a sub cycle of the whole management system cycle of the enterprise. The enterprise continuously circulates and improves through OHSMS.

Main purpose

The occupational health and safety management standard provides guidance for the standardization, standardization and integration of OHSMS management. Its purpose is to:

(3) Help enterprises establish a good image in the market.

OHSMS shall achieve two main objectives:
